Travelling Alone with a Security Belt: Where to go to Find Yourself

Travelling Alone

Sometimes, all we want is an excuse to get away from it all – leave the reality of our typical routine behind and take off on an incredible adventure to somewhere unknown. For some people, that adventure needs to be shared with others – perhaps family members, friends, or a romantic partner. For others, the best experiences come from getting out there and travelling alone.

One of the main reasons that people decide to go on vacation solo, is that they want to “find themselves”. They want to learn more about what they can accomplish independently, and listen exclusively to their own wants and needs for a while. If that sounds like you, we have some great destinations that you can go to with your security belt when you want to uncover your inner you.

1.    Ireland

Ireland is ranked to be the 11th safety country in the world, but we’d still recommend that you take your security belt, just in case. If you’ve never visited before, then you should expect to find all the things you would see on a post-card, plenty of green, a lot of rain, and vast beautiful spaces. When it comes down to it, Ireland has some of the best, yet most underrated scenery in the world.

2.    Fiji

Solo travelers often assume that Fiji is far too expensive for their limited budgets. However, most of the time, you should be able to find a pretty affordable bundle that will allow you to make the most of your time on the island, without worrying about your bank account back home. Fiji is a great destination for backpackers and beach-lovers who want to soak up the sights and a little sunshine too.

3.    Australia

Another of the world’s safest places to visit, Australia is beautiful and full of wonderful people – though you might want to be a little more cautious around the animals. If you’re looking for an adventure unlike anything you can experience anywhere else on earth, Australia is the place for you. It’s also a naturally good choice for English speakers, because there’s no language barrier.

4.    Thailand

Often described as the “land of smiles”, Thailand is a wonderful destination to consider when travelling alone. Here, you’ll find some of the happiest people in the world, alongside some truly phenomenal scenery too. From the incredible food to the vast beaches, you’re sure to find plenty of things to love about your island getaway.

5.    Finland

Finally, if you’re looking for vacation destination that looks as though it’s been ripped straight from the pages of your favorite fantasy books, Finland is the perfect option for you. Finland is a stunning country with so much culture and diversity, that you’ll probably find yourself going back there time and time again just to experience something new. From the winter wonderland of Lapland, to the rich colors of Savonlinna, Finland is safe for travelers and great for an adventure with your security belt.
